A Letter to the Woman Who has Forgotten She is Dangerous
Dear Dangerous Women,
It’s that time of the year where we are reflecting on the first half of the year, and seeing what we have and have not accomplished. For some Dangerous Women they accomplished a lot and achieved a lot of their goals. I am so proud of those women for continuing to be dangerous, but this letter isn’t for them. This letter is for the women out here who have forgotten that they are dangerous, and have forgotten what all they can achieve.
Social media brings other’s achievements right to your fingertips, so it’s a lot easier to get distracted or even discouraged when it seems like your goals and plans aren’t going your way.
This letter is to remind you who you are and what you can achieve.
Who are you? You are a strong, talented, and beautiful woman. Strong, because you can overcome anything that comes in your way. Talented, because you have the power to turn nothing and into something with little to no thought. Beautiful, because there is a light within in you that shines bright not only thorough you but through the work that you do. The fact that you are beautiful on the outside, just makes you that much more Dangerous.
No matter where you are in life, remember that you are still doing amazing!
Whether you are in school, newly graduated, trying to enter your career field, or even working on being entrepreneur it doesn’t matter what other people say or think. As long as YOU see your vision and you are willing to put in the work, you are where you need to be in life.
Those goals that you have set for yourself, you will achieve them! Trust me! Everything comes with time and patience! Goals are set to be achieved over a period of time. If you achieved them when it is convenient for you, you would not appreciate them as much as you would have if you worked hard and had to wait. Good things come to those who wait, AND put in time and effort.
If you are not where you want to be in life, chances are you are not ready to be there yet! Most people fail to realize that with every blessing comes a struggle. When you are making moves, and trying to advance whether it be in your business or even in your career, you must remember that advancement comes with responsibility. The question is, in this very moment can you handle everything you are asking for? IF you can great, continue to work towards it. Like I said, good things come to those who work hard and wait. If you aren’t ready, don’t let that hinder you from still working towards your advancement whether that’s asking questions and learning more about your business or you career. You can never be over educated!
Now don’t let my rant on time and patience slow you down! Yes, everything takes time but don’t waste the time that you are given. Don’t be afraid to take risk and try new opportunities. Live a little! Sometimes, we as women we work too hard and forget to have fun. Go out and spend time with your friends, or have a Me Day every once in a while. It will remind you of why you work as hard as you do.
The reason I write this letter is to not only remind myself, but to also remind you of the power that you hold within. Women lately want to be a boss, which is fine and all but a boss position is temporary. You can only hold the position of a boss for so long. A Dangerous Woman is forever because it is the person who fills the position of the boss. You will always be a Dangerous Women no matter what position you are in because it’s not about the title, it is about person and who they are on the inside and out. Remember that you have a purpose, and you were placed on this earth as a Dangerous Woman to achieve it.
A Fellow Dangerous Woman
