Sisterly Love: Solange Gets Inteviewed by Big Sis Beyoncé

The biggest reward that I could ever get is seeing women, especially black women, talk about what this album has done, the solace it has given them.
— Solange Knowles

A Seat at the Table is arguable one of the best albums released in 2016. Solange told stories that felt intimate and hit close to home for so many women, specifically women of color.

In an interview carried out by her big sister Beyoncé, Solange reveals more about the creation of the album while giving us a look at her relationship with her sister.

It's refreshing to witness this kind of interaction between Solange and Beyoncé. Time after time people have compared the two, or pit their talents against each other. This interview was needed because it allows us to hear what Solange really had to say about the album without being bombarded with questions about her sister or her family. The focus stayed on the music, her life, and her artful contributions. With some jokes here and there from one sister to another, the interview made for a pretty sweet read.
